I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
